Phase 1: Audit before you plan
Most failed migrations skip this. Spend two weeks understanding what's actually being used in your current Salesforce instance. You'll find — guaranteed — that 60% of custom fields and 80% of custom objects are dead.
Phase 2: Map, don't replicate
